I was commissioned to create this memorial comic for a white lab named Dakota. He had passed away in 2021 and this was a Christmas gift for his owner, Monte. I was told that he liked eating snow on their walks and “enjoyed a good big stick”.
After receiving the commission, Monte commented “That’s my boy. And your work brought me to tears. You captured him beautifully and I thank you.” It was such an honor to create this piece.
